Meet Elaine
Integrative psychotherapist & counsellor.
I am a BACP registered integrative therapist, providing support for individuals facing a variety of challenges, including, but not limited to ; anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationships, self-confidence, loneliness, feeling lost, finding purpose and expat challenges.
As a psychotherapist, my role is to provide guidance and support, helping you explore and overcome obstacles that may be preventing you from living the life you envision. If you’re unsure of what that vision looks like, therapy can help you gain clarity and direction. I offer therapy sessions both in person and online from my practice in Islington, London, with short-term and long-term options tailored to your needs.
Please visit the contact section of this website if you would like to schedule a session.

“In safe spaces we can find a sense of peace, healing and growth”
My Approach
I offer a compassionate, empathetic, and non judgemental space to explore aspects of your life that may be causing challenge and discontent for you. My work is informed by a deep curiosity around how our earlier life, and any distress we encountered then can have an effect on our present day living, in terms of how we think and feel and in the relationships we have.
Introspection and self awareness are encouraged in our sessions, in a holding environment that allows us to gain insight into patterns of behaviour which might be preventing us from leading satisfying lives.
My integrative training allows me to draw from various modalities and my style adapts based on the needs of the client, where the primary focus is on helping us find strength, recovery and growth. I work mainly from a psychodynamic and humanistic perspective, where I blend elements of mindful awareness, somatic therapy, CBT and trauma informed therapy.
The importance and value of the therapeutic relationship is central to the my clinical practice as it holds huge potential for transformation and growth. I endeavour to create a safe, empathetic and confidential space to explore the experiences and challenges that may be causing pain and distress.
“It takes enormous trust and courage to allow yourself to remember.”
